move over

well after being gone for many months( i bought a jeep, and i just sold it).i decided to put some money in the old 1 ton and just drive it. the ip pump leaked and the vacum pump was shot. i replaced the vacum pump, but i went out and got mself a ip pump from a 94 idi turbo to put on. now i have a banks full system and know what all my readings were before. used to be that in 5 up hill 6 pounds was good with a load, that was then. now i have adjusted my waste gate to 9 1/2 pounds or so and in 5 up hill with a load i see every bit of it. now the load is only 8000, but i will see just how good it is later this month when i get hooked to my big horse trailer and go. it is to new to tell about mileage, i dont expect good mileage for a while. but when i fineally get my foot out of it i hope to go back to my 15 on the highway unloaded. so just a warning if you see a white crew cab behind you just move over, it might be me.

92 1 ton 5 speed 4.10 crew cabdually banks sidewinder(modified)

Sounds good. Wouldn't surprise me any if your fuel economy improves a tick once the heavy foot wears off.

Well I am not to worried, I'll just stomp down on mine and run it up to 16 PSI with lots of black smoke.

If the white crew cab is behind me, I will not be able to see it for the black smoke rolling out the stacks.

PS , did you have the injectors rebuilt to 94 turbo specs to match the IP?
It made a difference in mine.

i havent rebuilt the injectors yet. i also dont have any black smoke ever. some folks like the smoke and some know that it is unburned diesel and that is just to expensive for me. i want to burn all of my diesel. i wish i could have stacks, but there is a big fuel tank in my bed that wont let me have them. i have always been told not to go over 12 pounds due to already high compresion so i keep mine a 9 1/2 just to be safe. i am in the process of water meth and propane. i already know a clutch is in my very near future, i can just feel it.

My truck is black, the bed is black, the ends of the chrome stacks are .....you guessed it ....black.

As long as I don't need the extra zing, you only see a bit of black when I let off the throttle to shift gears and also when I first let the clutch out starting off from a stop.

But if someone wants to mess with me, I have plenty to give them at the drop of a size 13 shoe. Real nice when one of those ricers with the driving lights pointed up in the trees pulls up behind me. Right after my foot hits the floor, those driving lights look like parking lights in my west coast mirrors. My stacks are at the perfect height that at anything over 40 MPH the air dropping behind the cab sucks the smoke right down in their windshield. For some reason people don't tailgate me for long, I can't figure out why.
