I found a 79 bronco with a 400m, 9" rear and dana 44 front. What trans and tranfer case came in the 79"s? I am looking to put the trans, t case and 44 in my jeep.
Why not just keep the Bronco? Its already got all the things people spend time and money swapping into Jeeps so that the Jeep can be "as capable" as the Bronco. (Sorry, had to get my dig in there). New Process 208 or 205 (if I am recalling correctly) depending upon whether its a full-time or part time 4WD system.
Thanks guys. The bronco's body is trashed just looking for a few heep parts. Guess thats just the Fred Sanford coming out in me? If i recall the trans will not bolt up to a 302.
The transmission if auto is a C6, and the the transfer case is either NP203(full time), or NP205(part time).
Just swap the jeep body to the Bronco frame.
