currently i have a 86 f150 witch i have replaced or motified everything but the frame and axels. Now both the frame and axels are going on me.
SO my new project is to get a f250 or 350 frame, and a set of axels and swap it over. Im planing on a 6 inch lift and 35's, and it to be my daily driver. What axels should i get, and WHAT can i get them from? and what should i look out for. I stoped at my local junkyard and got a rough est. of 1200 for frame and two axels. dose this sound like a good deal? also what should i do to the junkyard axels to make sure they wont blow on me in a week?
You can do better than 1200. You can get running trucks from people who dont know what they have for $500...
Too true! Auctions and AutoTrader even that online auction site, what's it's name? Anywho, look in the local paper and your regions AutoTrader before buying off the shelf. You may beable to find what you need for 1/2 the cost and a little refurbishment. Satisfaction will come from rebuilding it yourself. ;-)
