95 351 sputters on cold start

95 351 sputters on cold start
My guess is this is problably some cold start valve or sensor, but when cold the thing cranks a little longer than it used to and then sputters a bit before it idles normally. Im hoping this is some simple fix and maybe its related to my 10 mpg gas milage. Ideas?

I would start off by checking for fault codes.....and, no the check engine light does not have to be on for codes to be stored.
If I had to take a guess though....I would look at the IAC and also all the usual ignition tune up stuff.......when was the last time it had a tune up?
