OK Guys, since everyone here has played a little too much with their trucks and learned the easy and hard way what to and not to do, I would like some feedback. I am going to the boneyard tomorrow and was planning to get an F-250 air intake from the grille to the air box and a 97 F-150 dual throttle body to single air intake for filter to throttle body and see about fabbing up a nice cold air intake.
While I am there, are there any other good parts that I might want to look for that would make my 92 302 E4OD work better?
This is my daily driver and I want it to run better. I found a problem this week and will be working on it tomorrow also. Is there anything else that can be done about that cranckcase breather that goes back to the airbox and only serves to put oil on your air filter?
pull it off the valve cover, clean it out, get a new emissions filter, and if its dumping that much oil into your filter check your valve cover gaskets thats where the problem was on mine
pull it off the valve cover, clean it out, get a new emissions filter, and if its dumping that much oil into your filter check your valve cover gaskets thats where the problem was on mine by the way why would you want a single air intake why not fabricate some kind of Y fitting for the dual throttle body that goes into your single cold air intake
The 97 F-150 with MAF had a twin throttle body to single large intake. I was going to look for one of those and maybe replace my intake with it. I saw a user who had fabbed an F-250 and F-150 intake together to be like a RAM AIR.
