I moved up to 32's from 31's yesterday on my 96. I wasn't really planning to do this but I needed 2 front tires to pass inspection this month and I got a deal too good to pass up on 5 used rims and tires. I picked them up from "94 XLT White/ Silver 302" who just happens to live about 15 minutes from me. He had them on his truck for a short time and they still have plenty of tread life left. Thanks for the great deal Kenny. Your truck looks great, lots of quality upgrades.
With the stock suspension I did have some rubbing on the air dam but none on the radius arms. I spaced the bumper out about a 1/2" and now there is no rubbing at all. Going from worn out 31's to 32's with good tread is a noticable difference in ride height. I really like it. Here's a few pics.
I know its not that much of a difference, but did you notice any reduced off the line performance.....I want to go up to 33's, but I know for sure I will feel a difference in the overall gearing.

Oh and BTW....that Bronco looks outstanding!
When I went from 32's to 33's within a week I had 4:11 gears on order. The 32's weren't bad but the 33's killed my power.
Amen to that! I ran 33's with the stock 3.55 gears in GS and the power/mileage situation drove me nuts!
Fishallot, nice ride! Looks suspiciously like my 93 save mine has a blue pinstripe down the upper bodyline and a number if dings to give it "character" as I like to call it.

Exactly......I noticed it a few days after I got my 93 and put new/larger tires on, and I am only running 31X10.5"s.
My plan is to settle on 33X11.5 and keep it that way for the duration. I think that with no lift (I dont see enough off road use to warrant a lift, and I am almost past the point of wanting to just look cool) and the type of driving I do, a 33" tire is about the best all around size to stick with, so I will have to get it re-geared. Now my next decision will be should I go with 3.73 or 4.11?
Thanks for the compliments on the truck guys. I really do like the way the 32's fill the wheel wells without rubbing. So far I haven't really noticed much difference in performance, I was expecting to notice it more than I do. Part of it might be that I drive it easy and I have a fairly low mile original 5.8 motor in the truck. I do plan to recalibrate my speedo, it's still set at the factory 235 tire setting. Guess it was never recalibrated when the PO went to 31's. I checked speed against my handheld GPS today and am showing a 4 - 8 mph deficeit depending on how fast I'm going.
Does anyone know what conversion constant I need to punch in for the 32's? They are BFG A/T KO 32x11.5x15. I'd like to get the number right on the first try since you can only make the change 6 times over the life of the truck. My current conversion constant is set to 9.72 which if I'm reading the charts right is set for the stock 235's. From what I've gathered on-line my new conversion constant should be set at 8.86, it sure would be helpfull to here from someone that's used this number on their truck before I punch it in.
nice truck, and those wheels look a little familier......ohh wait...i just bought those exact same rims on Ebay! i have 32"s on my truck now, but im goin to put 235/70/r15s General Grabber HPs for summer driving, saving my BFG ATs for 4x4ing and next winter.
Any feedback on 8.86 being the correct speedometer conversion constant for BFG 32x11.5x15? Would really like to hear from someone that has used this number before.
