clutch safety switch

has anyone ever had a problem with this i think mind is shot

I had a problem with that and it took me a couple months to realize that was my problem. I doubt I had the same problem you do, but all I did was unplug it, blow it off and plug it back in. Haven't had a problem since.

Failure of the clutch switch, or any other switch is not uncommon.

My 85 van has a rod on the switch assy. The part on the rod that can get out of adjustment.

well i got it fixed i put a new one in and it works now 36redtudor how did you by pass yours

I first found the connection & put a short "U" shaped wire. I drove it like that for a little while, but eventually I just cut off the connector & connected the wires permenently together with a butt splice.
