clutch sizes?
hey I just swaped a 81 300 into my 83 300 bronco when I did I noticed the clutch on the 81 was like new but the teeth on the flywheel had a run in them so I pulled the flywheel off the 83 thats when I saw that the clutch on the 83 was smaller(diameter) the flywheel had holes for either clutch? measured and the larger still fit and everything bolted up and clutch feels ok are the release bearing the same? I didnt have the origional one from the 81 I havent finished the rest of the little thing so I havent been able to test it, I am assumeing bigger is better?

Either clutch will work. The flywheel will accept either a 10.5 or 11 " clutch. Yes the 11 " clutch is a little more heavy duty. The throw out bearing should work on it also. Do remember that you can only use a 300 flywheel on a 300 six motor. You cannot use a small v 8 flywheel due to being balanced differently.
