Your talking about the intake manifold right? Pretty sure you are, and if your going to go through all that trouble, you might as well put cam and lifters, and a true double roller timing chain, and of coarse you would need about a 600cfm carb, and headers would be nice, but can be done anytime.
Well, , if I had taken a moment to read your signature I wouldn't have needed to ask that question. Anyhow, consider a throttle body upgrade. I am a fan of the Edelbrock intake for the EFI truck engines and BBK's twin 56mm TB is a direct replacement. I've had the idea to 180 the bottom of the airbox for a long time and just let it draw air in through space between the inner and outer fender. But I've always felt the twists and turns that the OEM induction makes before it ever gets to the throttle body is a bit much especially that corrugated flex tube from the airbox to the top of the upper crossmember. Looks like you already have the exhaust side of the "equation" in place. The induction improvements should make for some nice performance improvements. Keep us posted.
