How much??

Wondering how much you would pay for something like this...we are getting ready to sell it, but don't want to ask too much, and don't want to get taken for a ride.

What would you pay??

very difficult to put a price on this.

it looks real good, sound like it would go like crazy.

the trick is to find someone who wants to pay for all that you did.

put it on ebay and start at 5k and see were it goes, you can always cancel, or keep a high reserve.

I would run an ebay auction to see how it does. Start out about $10,000 and set your reserve for what you have in it. After you get some results set your reserve at about 10000 less than your highest bid if that bid satisfies you. I would expect to get 35-40 thousand out of it if you are lucky.

This looks like an awful lot like a for-sale ad in disguise to me...

This is NOT A FORSALE AD!!! If it was I would of had a set price and wouldn't be asking my Ford buddies "how much".

We have tried ebay, NO LUCK!! It’s been in papers and I’m thinking that our asking price was too much (25k). From the pictures I’m sure u can see there is a TON of work into this truck. You can only get "that" feeling when you see it in person. Besides that, only 1 person had an idea and or good starting price. Thanks MRL. Anyone else have an ideas or know of any other outlets to sell this? I have the price at 17k OBO now and I’m wondering if I’m shooting my self in the foot or still asking too much. Who better to ask then other ford people?

Thanks
Drew I

i had a put in my post a good starting price for an ebay ad, $5k.

you put a lot of money and time into a vehicle that would only be appriciated by a very small percentage of potential buyers.

don't be angry at us that you will have a hard time getting back what you put into it.

you have a nice truck but it will take a lot of luck and a lot of time to find the right buyer.

i have a friend who dumped at least $30k into a triumph gt6, it was his first car he ever owned and he never wanted to get rid of it. to me it will always be a piece of junk. it was never going to be faster than my corvette. he will never get his money back that he is investing.

now if it was a shelby mustang or 63 vette or another collectable car/truck, the chances of getting your money back makes more sense for him and for you.

this is just my opinion.

good luck selling your truck.

quick look.. thanks! i understand 100% that i won't see all the funds that i have invested in the truck, but i have no time to enjoy it. i would rather see someone else get a kick out of this truck. guess we will have to wait and see.

thanks!

What you should do is take it to a big car show [good guys] and put it in the for sale section.

I agree that your best bet, to get the most for your truck would be a large auction where there are a lot of buyers for customized vehicles. That way they get to see the truck in the flesh. You get the benefit of the auction company's publicity. Maybe the auction at 'Hot August Nights' in Reno at the convention center.
