Has anyone tried swapping a 67-72 dash into 73-79 trucks? They appear to be very similar in dimensions. I like the look of the instrument cluster better and I may be able to get one cheap.
From what I know, I think the '73 cabs were slightly bigger than the '72 cabs. Whether this affected the dashboard I don't know. That would be a nice upgrade though.
Torque,
hmm seems that it may take a bit of wrangling (read fabbing), but I still think it will work with some perseverance
If all else fails, at least I'll know the differences. I love that old sweep speedo!
Does anyone have measurements for 67-72 dash? Think I'll hit the 67-72 threads and see.
