oil dipstick

alright, so i was just going to see how much oil i have in my car...and the whole entire tube came right with the dipstick when i tried to pull it out. i know this may seem like a ridiculous question but bear with me because i have no idea what i should do about that

Ha, I agree with streetgang. There should be a rubber o-ring on the end of the tube. Make sure it is there and good. Just but the tube back in place, it should pop back in.
