I'm in the military, about to deploy for 6 months to Kuwait to support Operation Enduring Freedom. I'm wondering what i need to do to make sure my truck will be ready to drive as soon as i get back.. I have someone that's going to start it for me about twice a week..so i'm not too worried about the engine, but i don't want to come back and see all my hoses and tires dry rotted... thanks for the help.

If it was mine I would find me a local storage and rent a space that would hold the truck,lay plastic on the concrete floor to keep moisture out and have my friend check on it; better yet if it is wired,place a 100W bulb in the light for a heat source and leave on.

I do know that you need to keep those tires off the cement to prevent the cement from 'sucking' the moisture from them. I know that even a couple 2x4's under each tire would do the job. Six months isn't really long enough to allow those hoses to dry out. I bet those will be fine. I'd recommend leaving a FULL tank of gas in it. Drop some Fuel Stabilizer in it also.
