Molded Plastic Dashboard Cover?

Hi, I am thinking of placing an order tonight through LMC Truck for a Molded Plastic Dashboard Cover. They are $89.95 and fit right over the old and will not fade or crack. I was wondering if anyone else has bought one of these and how easy are they to install and how nice do they look? I want to restore my truck to near show quality, so I don't want to skimp and make it look cheesy! Thanks for the help and I appreciate some quick replies!

I think if you're going for near show quality, you would be better off getting another dash pad. You can pick up a very nice used one on eBay for $100 to $200 and a brand new replacement for $400 (I think).

Most feedback on the covers have been negative, as Jor said for show quality you may want to splerge for the spendy new replacement.

The covers are junk, from what I've heard. They are a pretty cheaply made, hard plastic that doesn't match the original pattern and are obviously a cover once installed.

I deleted my padded dash, welded up the holes and smoothed it with a bit of filler. Got a pic in my gallery if you want to see the results. As the guys said, the plastic covers are just cheap junk. Maybe with a bit of work you could make it fit better and put some upholstery on it or something. Not sure that all that work would even make it presentable......
