Fuel filter

Haven't crawled under there yet but on a ex e250 5.4 is the fuel filter on the drivers side frame rail in front of the fuel tank?

And what tools do I need once underneath?

Any help would be great!

I'd call your dealer's shop and ask. IIRC after '92 there is a special tool that you need. Get the metal one from napa, it's about $25. Ask them for the ford fuel line tool.

good luck..................having just changed a one on a 87 i would also...........

have a couple of things before doing the job like..........

rags..........

a pan for oil changes would have been nice to slide under with.

some plugs for the fuel lines.

a shirt i was going to throw out. .can be messy.

goggles....my old mare is a bit rusty........

also i find and old refrig. box works like a creeper. you can slide under and back out with ease.

you'll have to release the fuel pressure first also..
