Gauges In phase 1 - normal #'s??

Finally installed 'em. Interesting to watch and by driving like I normally do the last couple of days, I haven't exceeded 1100 degrees very many times if at all. (Whew)

Driving on a level road @ 55 with no a/c and outside temp in the mid 70's I'm running about 500 degrees EGT. It goes up and down rapidly (I'm running a 4" MBRP exhaust & Tymar intake), up to 850 - 900 when taking off unloaded from a dead stop. I did hit 1100 dgrees yesterday (briefly) carrying 2400 lbs in the bed on takeoff from a stop up a steep grade to get up to highway speed (man does it sound cool opened up!). Also hit almost 15 PSI boost.

I also installed a REAL engine temp gauge instead of tranny since I have a 5 speed. It's nice to get accurate coolant readings. The junk stock gauge never moves at all once it's warmed up.

Makes me wish I'd installed them before the intake & exhaust so I'd have some comparison.....

What numbers are you guys getting, especially those that still have the stock intake & exhaust (if any)?

I'm still trying to figure out a good way to mount the oil pressure & ammeter I got. I got gauge cups thinking I'd mount them on the dash above the radio, but didn't like the way they were going to look. I'm considering a mount above the mirror. They're Isspro's, BTW.

Did you mean amp meter? If so cut the Green wire on the black alternator plug and attach your amp meter to it and also reconnect the green wire. So the truck brain doesn't think there is no charge going to the truck. But the green wire is the one to attach to for a gauge.

I have a similar setup (exhaust/intake) and my pyro gauge has only shown 1000 degrees towing a trailer so far. Without a load 400-600 degrees when cruising. My personal best boost number is 21 without a load on a level surface. MPH not listed to protect the guilty...
