Anyone with Carter AFB & 460 pass smog?
I have a '76 Supercab w/ 460 and a C6, federal emissions. It has an AFB and I am running rich (CO too high) at the high rpm test (2500 rpm), no dyno in my area. If someone is passing smog with this set up, what metering rods and jets are you running? I currently have 70/57 rods and .095 jets in the primaries. Last attempt I had the same metering rods and .100 jets and CO was at 5.5 ppm. I'm allowed 3.5 ppm. HC was at 169 which is acceptable. I am going for another sniff tomorrow. Thanks.

Smog problems
tractoman,I run an AFB also so yours must have vaccume secondarys, the state of CA has a problem smogging engines with vaccume secondarys at least when I had to smog my 72.I used a small holly 650 to get past smog then went back to the AFB-Carter.Mabey try tying down the secondarys and see what the emissions does when tested, just a thought. Good luck.
