I've replaced 2 injectors on my 03 f250 diesel. Now 3 more went out. I have 72,000 miles on it. Does anyone know where I can get injectors for it, so I can save money and do it myself?!!!
I cannot answer your question, however I am trying to get some info on your situation.
What is your engine build date? When did your first injector go south? Do you have an extended warrenty?
I had all 8 of mine replaced recently. They could'nt tell me if they were c94 or c95 injectors that they removed. My engine build date is 06/03. Good luck W.

Engine should still be under Warranty to 100,000 miles. Your cost $100.
I don't know what the date is , my truck is at the dealer. The first injecter went out about 3 months ago, and they replaced it under warrentee. So I took it back in to the same dealer since the latest injectors went out and they said they slipped up last time and wern't supposed to fix it under my 100,000 mile warrentee. So they are telling me it will be around 1500 dollars to fix it through them.!! So I guess I will save some money and do it myself.
Ford Motor Company or Ford Motor Vehicle Assurance Company covers these components: cylinder block, heads and all internal parts, intake and exhaust manifolds, timing gear, harmonic balancer, valve covers, oil pan and pump, water pump, fuel system (excluding fuel lines and fuel tank), high pressure lines, gaskets and seals, glow plugs, turbocharger, powertrain control module, electronic driver unit, injectors, injection pressure sensor, high pressure oil regulator, exhaust back pressure regulator and sensor, camshaft position sensor, accelerator switch.
This was copied from ford site, however, it is for 2005 model year.
They told me that the injectors were concidered electrical. So they said it wasnt't covered in my 100,000 mile warrentee.
Wow! I'm amazed they didn't tell you it was the sparkplugs that were causing the problem.

This is probably your best bet. Unless they're the only game in town. Then I would reccomend taking your warranty guide booklet down to the service dept. with you and opening it up to the page that reads "6.0L/7.3L PowerStroke Diesel Engine Coverage". And with a very polite, but serious demeanor, point to the word "injectors" and ask them to verify that is the part they are saying is not covered under the 5yr/100k mile warranty.
