Can we revisit the EOT mod?
I have heard that the EOT mod uses a resistor much like the 10k to fool the computer into thinking the oil temp is much lower than it actually is. I also heard that people stopped doing this because it was burning up tranies due to not locking the convertor. I was curious about using this EOT mod with my torque convertor lock mod. That is, when gunning it, lock the convertor when it shifts to 2nd gear to prevent slip. In the mornings when my temp guage is about halfway to the normal temp my truck will really run. On the 100hp predator program in it you can tell that it cranks the timing way up when you mash it over halfway down because the engine changes sound and really moves. I would rig up the EOT mod on a switch so I wouldnt be fooling the computer unless a duramax comes around. What do you guys think? Would this mod make my engine sound and perform like it does in the mornings?
