I'm trying to find a used radiator to put in my truck. Any chance someone could post rough dimensions for me? I don't need depth, just width and height. I have a 2wd f250.
Does anyone have any experience modifying to fit? Pictures of custom jobs would be great.

To check to see if a used rad is riotten or not, lightly brush your finger against the vanes.
If they collapse the rad is rotten, if they file your skin the rad is good
I don't think that it will matter if it has A/C but I may be wrong, I think that the core is roughly 25"ish wide and 19- 19 1/2" tall depending on where you are located Kragen Checkers or Schucks have pretty good prices on radiators, around the $200 range they wanted around $400 to re core mine at a shop.
Radiators.com has a radiator for a reg 78 f250, but not a camper special. The radiator is four core, so it should be plenty. Will it fit my truck?

I had a 2 row for a 302 and bought a 3 row that was wider for a bigger motor but the bolt holes were there for the bigger radiator . 77 ford f-100 2wd 302 no a/c . Bought it from napa auto parts $180.00 . Ran a 15" electric fan and ditched the stock fan and what a difference in cooling power . Only run the electric thru drive thrus and bad traffic , water pump has lasted 6 years because of know stress on water pump bearing with stock fan weight . Only way to go and wont kill any animals if there hiding in the engine compartment , like cats , lots of room to work too. KFLORD77.

the reg f250 four row is not the same as the camper spec rad, the camper spec rad is huge compaired the standard truck four row rad. The top tank is large and round and the rad is something like four inches taller
If you can wait till tomorrow I can get you a modine part# and dimensions to check yours against
if you do decide to go with the elec fan setup (which does work very nice) you can buy a thermostat at most parts stores that will controll what temp it comes on and off at, it's fully adjustable and easy to install. All you have to do is drive.
It is my understanding that Radiators.com should be able to help you with the dimensions and size/type radiator for your camper special. Just give them the specifics. I was quite satisfied with their knowledge. The rep. asked me to measure the size, what type of flange, etc. for my engine/truck type. Not advocating them specifically, but you should be able to give anyone the engine size, dimensions of the radiator, mounting type, etc.... and they should be able to give you an exact fit, or talk you through it. Their were multiple sizes & types for my 351M and we were able to narrow it down to an exact flange mount and size. My local shops did the same thing, but could not beat their prices.
A large part of the reason they couldn't help me find one specifically for my truck is I don't have the original one. When I bought the truck it was basically a body, frame, and rear axle. I would love that part # project supercab. Thanks.

Stick with the stock type thermostatic fan clutch and shroud. It is more efficient, reliable, and much cheaper than an electric setup. Spend your $$$, engineering, debug, and fabrication time elsewhere.
