Please help identify this fitting?

Can someone please tell me what this fitting is called? It is used to join my brake lines together. Thank you

Should be what's called a flared union. Auto Parts stores should have them. It has to have the special flare inside for the line to seat and seal on it.

put some teflon tape and or teflon paste on the threads before you tighten forever...
Tis truly a union, when only the joining matters.....cheap fix...works for me....

I'd advised never to use teflon or anything else on a brass fitting. Brass is used so that it will seal itself.

On a brake line, the tube uses a double flare. Fluid should never even make it to the thread part of the connection.
