KOH Supplier

I'm trying to find a supplier for KOH in my area but there are none. I l live in Bastrop, LA. Does anyone have some companies anywhere I could contact.

Hi Blieux1,

I have setting up an account with UNIVAR. They have a line card available on line at www.univarusa.com. You will be able to get methanol, ethanol NaOH and KOH from them. I was quoted $0.85/# for KOH in 100# drums. On top of that, there is a fuel surcharge and hazardous shipping fee, but it beats drive 5-6 hrs one way. They do require a business license for you to purchase. In Michigan, it costs me $10 every 3 (or 5?) years. Do an internet search for chemcentral also. They have quite a selection.
