302 Tbi????
we have a 302 in a Grand Marquis with a TBI system on it. Its a 1985 and the Haynes manuel says its stock. It comes to find out that Ford only did TBI for a year for a reason. It doesnt like to work. has anyone else had problems with this?

Actually, they did the CFI (as Ford called it) for several years. Introduced in 1980, it was used till '87 although Ford had introduced two other FI systems by then.
What kind of problems are you having with it? It's not a real complicated system.

The throttle position sensor is what i thought it was. The injectors were sprayin, motors gettin fire. nothing wrong with the intake. Couldnt figure out what it was. We just stripped out the computer and throtle body and put a 2bbl on it with a racing regulator with return so the carb wouldnt get over pressured. Ran fine...passed inspection(easy to do in this neck of the woods).
