block and i have a vacum leak the line is yellow on the passanger side any idea were it goes on can anybody send me a copy of a veci pic?
Since your truck is an 89, it probably already has the E7TE heads. You could consider having them ported, which would help alot. Check out this website for details, www.thumperoforangepark.com He's a nice person to deal with and his work is well known with the 5.0 mustang crowd.
You could check into a set of GT40 heads. They offer improved flow over the stock E7's but have a larger combustion chamber which may reduce your compression ratio. They also have larger valves and cause piston to valve issues if you are running a radical cam. They were used on 93-95 Mustang Cobras and Lightnings as well as late 95 to early 97 Explorers.
The GT40P heads flow the best out of the 3 mentioned here. They have the smallest combustion chambers, the larger valves and were used on mid 97 to 2001 Explorers. The spark plugs are angled differently on these heads and can cause issues with them being too close to the header tubes. Special headers are available but are kinda pricey. Some people have made the standard long tubes work by modifying the tubes.
