Disconnected EGR Throws Check Engine Light

Maybe someone else will chime in here but I don't think that they can turn it off for you so that you can leave it unhooked. They might not even like the fact that you disconnected it. I usually plug mine in to go to the dealer but my CEL doesn't come on with mine as I bought mine in Idaho.
