Go to one of the super stores like Auto Zone, Chucks, Checkers, Pep boys, etc. They can't tell you anything unless it's on their little computer, but you can get new and remanufactured parts for fairly cheap and they usually have a lifetime replacement warranty. So, I say go buy a new one. You could get fancy and put an electric one on. Then you could put a switch in the circuit for a little theft protection. That'll run you around 70 or 80 bucks though. Agree with moose, go get a rebuilt one. For an FE, they are only around $15. Personally, I went with electric on my truck.
