Shackle Hanger
Are the shackle hangers on a 90 BII and a 90 Ranger the same. They look to be, but the ford dealer said they are not, and wants $140. for a BII hanger and only $40. for a ranger hanger. Anyone know what the difference between them is?

I guess that depends on if the rear leaf spring / shackle mounts/hangers for a ranger are a flip-flop of the BII... meaning, the ranger rear leaf spring mount is the same as a BII's front leaf spring mount... for the rear axle... ? Honestly, I can't remember the difference between my '86 ranger and my '87 BII, as I didn't really look that deep into it. I guess I'll see if I can find a picture or an older ranger that I can take a peek under.... *shrug* (if my suspicion is correct... $80 for the ranger hangers and you just might have some serious lift on your rear axle... without having to remove parts from a donor vehicle!)
