Is there a link where I can learn how to rewire a car I have?
I don't want to buy a universal harness, but would like to do a custom wiring job on a car I have. Thanks
Painless Performance Products has 12 and 18 circuit, model specific wiring harnesses for any car or truck you want to wire up. I used a harness from them a few years ago on my 72 Ventura II and it was simple. All the wires are printed as to where they go all down the wire and they are factory color coded.
I believe they have wiring manuals as well. They're a little spendy, but the wire kits are great to work with and super easy to understand.
Thanks I have checked into Painless wiring but I can't see paying over $450.00 for a universal wiring harness.I'm not restoring the car it's a daily driver or was suppose to be.
I've used EZ wiring's kit. It's similar to painless but about half the price. If I had to do it again though I would try the route you're wanting to take, doing it from scratch.
I really don't want to buy a harness and have to modifiy it to do what I want. The cheapest one I found was EZ Wiring.I just want to know how to do a custom wiring job so I can put what switches I need and want. Thanks
