Hey everyone. Just wanted all of you to know that I'm getting a spray-in bedliner professionally done on my truck this Wednesday the 12th. I will definitely take pictures of it and post them in my gallery. It's for my 73 F250 longbed...and I'm having them do it over the rail. It's gonna cost altogether $516...but it's worth it having it professionally done.
Hi i had my trucks bed sprayed 2 years ago and love it don't have to worry about it cracking lick a drop in. the only problem i have is my paint is kind of old and it started to pull the pant off the corner at the tailgate. Hope you like it as much as i like mine
Ah, this is something I've been looking for! I want to Line-X my truck bed, and have been looking around for pictures of our old trucks with it 'over the rail.' Finally able to see this thanks to you guys (pic in 79f250Supercab's gallery) and it looks pretty sweet! Will definitely be doing it over the rail now.
Well 79F350Supercab's bedliner I don't think is over the rail. He has bedcaps, but I don't think it's over the rail...is it? Anyway, when I get mine done I will definitely post pictures in my gallery.
Also with getting it over the rail, is it still possible to put on bed caps if I desire to in the future? It would probably be hard to get them to stick on though.
I used "Grizzly Grip" and rolled the bedliner on.
It comes in colors--Brown in my case-- and costs less than $100.00. It took most of the day because I first used an epoxy primer on the bare metal. I sand blasted the bed first. I could not be happer with the results. I found the product on the internet.
My truck's name is Gnarly.
I've got a sprayed in liner over the rails on my highboy and I love it. I've gotten ALOT of comments from people that like the looks of it over the rail-they say "It really adds to the look of the truck". Its great when I'm building fence or throwing old tractor parts in the back or whatever, you just dont have to feel like your beating the crap out of your truck. I dont have pics in my gallery of the inside of the bed but the other pics show it over the rail. I also had them spray my fabbed nerf bars and it works great there as well.
From what I heard by someone else that had the same type of bedliner I'm getting, is that they take all the paint off before they put on the bedliner. I'm hoping they do that, because that would be awesome...not having to worry about the paint under it later on making the bedliner come off. Anyway, I will let you know. It'll be done at 4pm PST today, that's when I'm picking it up. I'm just starting to get excited about it.
They had to keep my truck overnight due to the amount of rust that was in the bed. I hope they don't charge me too much more than they quoted me due to the rust. Oh well, it's better they take care of it than I at least. I'll try my hardest to get some pics of it tomorrow and put them up tomorrow night...I'm anxious to see it. I get to pick it up at 9am tomorrow (Thursday) before work.
Well it's 9:15 where I'm at you got it yet?
Either way, I'd like to see those pics.
I have pics of my bedliner process I did on my 79 Bronco(from front floor pans to tailgate), and it looks great, I wanted to have it proffesionally done, but couldn't afford the $500 +, so I put a Herculiner roll on bedliner for $80, but I bought 2 kits, b/c I didn't know how much it would need, and ended up not even needing the second kit, and I put it on a buddys truck for $200, so it's like I got a bedliner and $40. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...?userid=267137
It's the second gallery 'Bedliner Process', let me know what you guys think.
