Modulating Drone

Hey Folks!

It's been happening for a few days now I think it's getting worse so I want to take a closer look at this situation.

What's Happening:

Intermittently I'm having a slight modulating drone coming from the front end. At first I thought it was just happening when I was making a turn. I'd hear this subtle modulating drone and feel a slight vibration through the steering wheel.

Tonight I heard and felt it but this time I was going in a straight line. I don't know why but I decided to take the highway home. When I got on the highway and travelling at 100kmph the vibration/drone became quite evident although not to the extent of the steering wheel being shaken out of my hand. I got off the highway a few miles down the road 'cause I figured what I heard/felt couldn't be a good thing. When I did get off the highway it stopped.

It wasn't the road 'cause it's all newly paved and I was hearing it on city streets before I got on the highway.

Any suggestions, ideas, pointers or advice is greatly appreciatted.

Thanks,
Keith

How long do they last? My truck has 123,000km. I was thinking it might have something to do with brakes....caliper slightly closed up and the brake pads rubbing on the rotor????? I'm going to get my dad to have a look while he's outside working on a friends car.
