Dash Pad Removal?
What is involved in swapping out the dash pad in a 73-79 Pickup?

I believe you will have to remove the instrument cluster, radio and bezel, and glove box cardboard. Then you will have access to all the needed nuts to remove the pad.
Look at the new one to see where to search for the nuts under the dash. A 10mm socket and an elbow joint on a 1/4 drive works the best.
At this time you might as well check the other nuts and bolts for the dash itself for tightness, the defroster ducts, and replace the speaker under the dash. A little trick you might want to think about if you plan on installing a C.B. is to wire the dash speaker into your cb external output jack.
