My AC/Heater blower fan had been working fine at all speeds until today. I was using the A/C and turned it off when I shut the engine down. When I started up to go for a ride, I moved the selector to A/C and the blower fan came on only for a split second then shut off completely. My compressor continued to turn. The fan won't blow in any position I move my selector in, whether it be the vent, A/C, or heater. What should I check first to fix this problem? Thanks, as always for the support!!
If you tap on your blower motor it will probable start working, if it starts working remove it and blow it out with air it will work for a little longer. But you will have to get a new one soon.

Forgive me, but I don't see the blower motor. Isn't it an internal component of the heater/evaporator box housing? How can I tap on it? Isn't there a way that I can test for voltage without tearing into the box? The motor has never sounded bad, i.e. humming, whining, grinding, etc.... It just stopped suddenly when I went to turn it on. The fuse is good. I hate to tear into the heater box if nothing's wrong with the motor. Please help....
One more thing....I've read posts about there being a relay that could be bad. Where can I locate the relay so I can check it as well. I really do not want to open up the blower housing if I can help it. Maybe the relay is bad...
Mine is non AC so it may not be the same but check the electrical connector (plug) on the housing and I believe there is another one under the hood by the blower motor that is sticking out of the passenger side firewall.
If you do remove it follow the proper procedure or you may go hairless.
I fixed it!! Here was the problem...I took out the glove box and located the wire supplying juice from the blower/AC compressor switch. I checked for voltage and found NOTHING. I tore into the selector switch in the dash and once I had it out, checked for ohms where the harness plugs into it. Sure enough, the contact point that controls the blower fan was bad. I didn't have to try to clean it, as I had a used spare on hand that I replaced the bad with. Plugged it in and PRESTO, the blower works fine and all speeds of the motor function. Hope this helps someone down the line.
