Over the course of years I have fooled with several Bronco II's and Rangers. It is all to common to find one with tranny troubles. Finding a good used one is getting very hard, and rebuilders want $1,000 bucks for rebuild. My question is has anyone attemted to rebuild their own? If so to what degree of difficulty does this incurr?
I just got one from the Trans Power Factory located in Florida. It cost me $675 plus shipping. so that made it $820 to the door..NO CORE CHARGE..so you dont have to send your old one back. I just installed it today..still have to fill it up and test drive it..do that tomorrow. comes with a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty. to me that was a lot cheaper then everything else i looked at. Their number (877) 897-4707
Tied up some loose ends today with the truck and was able to get out there and test drive it. Rode around the neighbord for a while..shifts good and rides smooth. I'm happy!! Now I can get back out on the trails and get back to 4wheeling with it.
