Converted to Used Vege Oil!
Well me and my Dad converted his work truck to run off used Vegatable Oil! It runs awesome and is a great feeling to be saving 1000.00 a month on fuel...We do HVAC and work on restaurants everywhere so people are willing to give it to us. We bought a 50 Gallon marine tank and and cut out the side and installed a Heat exchanger to warm the Oil to 100-120 and then once it has reached that Temp. We flip a switch and energizes the 4 way valve and walla Smells like BK or wherever we get the oil from that week! Heres a few Pics I took....

Yes it is a 7.3, We tapped into the water pump and put a valve in it on the return line! So we just use the hot water to heat it! If we know its gonna be cold (below 60) we will switch it to Diesel 10 mins from home let the vege oil be pushed out, and start it on the Diesel. I also believe the fuel is heated by the Manifold because before we even opened the water valve the return fuel was 20 degees warmer...My dad has it all in his head and I know he has Check vavles and mess under there I just know the Basics...
And here in Southern VA it's a moderate climate! low 20 in winter Avg 30-40 high 105 in summer avg 80-90

well it sounds like a sweet deal with all the restaurants you have relations with you should be able to be very picky about the oil you take. Make sure you test the oil for water and I think you'll be OK. Starting and stopping with WVO in the lines at any temp is probably not a great idea so you may want to purge all the time. You have all summer now to learn as much as you can. Winter and wvo are a bunch different.
