Trans swap*
Anybody out there ever or know if you can put a 4 speed Allison transmission behind a 6.9 diesel out of a 1987 F250 . Also what parts you would need to do this . Want to put my 6.9 in a motorhome , thought about using the C-6 and the 4.10 gears already in it plus a Gear Vendor over drive. But after doing some reading about Allisons the 4 speed has a 3.45 low gear to get it going,so I thought change the ring and pinion to a 3.73 for the highway and you get a 18% over drive compared to the 4.10 gears and still plenty of low gear with the 3.45 first gear in a allison trans. Help all input needed on this one.
