Silly question

Can I fir an 85 351 W, complete, oil pan to carb, in the back of my 92 cherokee XJ. I dont think it would be a problem, weight or size...Thoughts...Hell what 550lbs, thats two big dudes....

I don't think the weight would be a problem as long as you don't drive like a maniac. a couple of things you might think about: how are you going to get the engine in there? I drive an 92 xj also and i don't think I could fit an engine back there hooked up to a engine hoist,the back hatch opening does not appear to be that big. how are you going to secure the engine so it doesn't move if it fits in there? If you have to hit the brakes hard one time,that engine might become a moving 550 pounds of metal and you might be the place it decides to stop.....not a pretty picture!!!

I have a fork lift that is loading it on a wooden palate. I was planning on using the small eyelets in the back area to attach tie downs. Only have to drive about an hour with it. If the overall size is not a problem, and I dont drive like a maniac, I think it will be ok....

Had no problem this mornign., HAd the 351 loaded with afork lift into the xj, strapped it down and she ran like a trooper. Was a tight fit, but worked well. Thanks for the hlep...
