I have dont a great deal of re-search and i'm looking for a replacement headlight bulb that will be worth the money. I have heard good and bad both about Silverstars, I'm seriously thinking about the GE Nighthawk. Anyone have the Nighthawks i havent heard much about them but they are supposed to be brighter. Any other sugestions i'm not going for look white, blue, or like HID i'm just looking for BRIGHT at night. I have Cool Blues now and in the rain i might as well just turn them off! Let me know what you guys think?
I was in the same boat as you....I bought the Silverstars and couldn't be more pleased with them...they were exactly what i was looking for...bright and clear..no regrets..try them,I'm sure you will be very happy
I am using Silverstars and are quite pleased as well. I dont know how genuine the pleasure is though cause they do appear brighter and whiter and I can see better with them, but at the same time I put them in I cleaned my very oxidated yellowed out lenses as well. I also put them on my wifes Sentra and do notice a big diffirence there without cleaning the lenses, I would try them out if I were you. If you have to replace a bulb, go ahead and throw another twenty at it and get the Silverstars and if you dont like them than try a diffirent brand next time. Truth be told I will probably use them again if I dont find another product I want to try instead.
If you want better wet performance stay away from anything with a blue coating. I had the silverstars and while brighter they are definately no better in the wet. I've got the Sylvania Xtravisions (just as bright as the S'stars, maybe brighter, with no blue coating) and they are much better in foul weather, I can actually tell they are on. They are brighter than the OE bulbs, even better if you add this:

thanks for the heads up link. i can see where the harness can help out with the 9007 bulbs.
i searched and searched for the new h13's the link i gave at the time was the only company to have them, i put the titanium whites in mine and matched the fog lamp bulbs.
no complaints about the brightness ect. from uncomeing drivers fliping me off. when i odered i had them in 3 days express mail in my mail box.so i have to say service was great .
they even have convertion kits to use xeon bulbs for the sealed beam bulbs
now i wonder about the hid converstion kit they sell!

thanks again that i will order. and it is cheap at $58.00,looks like good consurction.
love the way many of the guys in fte help each other like this. but not the guys that come in to flame a dealer or ford for problems they caused them selfs
Let me know how it works out, I've been thinking of buying one for my grandpas SD. He getting up there in age and can't see as well as he used to. Haven't heard any first hand reports yet of how much a harness helps the new ones.
Thanks for all of help guys. I think i will order the kit for 58 bucks thats a good deal rather than taking the time to construct one. I think i'm also going to go out on a limb and get the GE Nighthaws. I'll let you guys know what i think!
I put in the nighthawks in my 97 for half the price then what the silverstars would have cost and am happy with them. I do not see much difference between them and the silverstars I have in my 93.
Well as of now i just replaced the fog lights b/c they where blown anyways. All i can say is WOW. I used the GE Nigthawks 9005 and my fog lights are brighter than my headlights!! I like them i think i'm going to up grade my headlights after what i have seen from my fog lights very happy and BRIGHT!!
I wouldn't expect as much of an improvement when doing just the headlamp bulbs. The 9005 is also a higher wattage than the stock fog bulb, this is where much of the improvement came from. Not saying it won't be a good upgrade though.
