Very nice. The whole project is coming along very well. The engine/tranny/rear combo is interesting and seems well-balanced. I like the idea of the flathead and OD tranny with the low ratio rear. It should scoot around town very nicely, yet cruise the highway well.
Beautiful bed. The body seems to be in good condition. It was a nice find.
I'll bet you wallet is a lot thinner now.

I.C. IFS install
Thanks for the replies! The I.C. IFS instructions are very clear and the crossmember if very well built. Steve is great to deal with. The installation was relatively easy, just remember to measure twice and cut once. I used salvage yard suspension components that I cleaned up in my blast cabinet then had new ball joints and bushings installed. As for choosing the 700R4, it was a tough choice between it and the T-5. I really like the sound of a flathead with a manual trans going thru the gears, but I opted for the auto since I will be using a manual rack for steering and didn't want to wrestle the wheel and a shifter at the same time.
