std.column shift/toyota box

Is it possible to maintain the standard 3 on the tree with the toyota power steering conversion? This is for a 55 f100 with a yblock and a 3 spd overdrive tranny.

I believe all you lose is the horn wire down the center of the column. We did this swap with a standard column and welded the Ujoint to the bottom, thereby taking away that wire outlet.
Can't think how the shift linkage would be adversely affected.
