Another Gauge/chip question

First of all, I've done the search. My next step, (full fuel system mod is about to take place once I track down a couple of items), is to get some gauges. I've come across the Edge product line and keep coming back to it. Since gauges run $300 min for what I want, question is - does anybody have either the evolution or attitude in their truck and what do you think?

Can they replace gauges as advertised?

For a little more they come with code reader/eraser?

Come with HP tune program?

Do they come with sendors for gauge?

I know the consensus on the DP chips, but I need gauges next so was thinking this might work and be stackable or something for later.

Looks like I may be entering another category on the PMS scale real soon. Sorry for the long post. TIA.

There are a few products available with gauge read out and performance all in one. Edge, Bully Dog and Banks I believe all have this available. If your not going to race or pull a sled they would be fine. Check the link in my sig., these guys are pullers at heart and can help you out with your decision.

i got the banks six gun.
it works well it is a 6 level tuner, changable on the fly.
it shows boost, egt and transmission temp if you got an auto.
plus it is stackable with any chip. and for 350.00 it is worth it.

That sounds reasonable Brolli. I will have a look at it. Who did you buy it from?

If you plan on getting one of Jody's chips, you might hold off on some of those tuners. I talked to Jody about using the 6-gun with his chip, and since he modifies the parameters that the 6-gun does (ICP) he suggested not to use the 6-gun in conjunction with his chip. So, now my 6-gun has been assigned the dutys of just monitoring the boost pressure that the MAP sensor sees (so I can adjust my MAP line regulator to the max) and post turbo EGT's. I rarely look at either one anymore, since the addition of standard gauges, especially the pre-turbo EGT gauge.

I like the Edge A2, if I wasn't already setup with gauges and a chip, I would probably go with one of those or the Banks PDA setup.

I have dredged this thread back up for one more chance to get some input from those out there who have these monitors or have had some experience with them. If they suck, tell me. Don't want to end up with a POS. Thanks. If mechanical is best let me know. Really like the code reader/clearer function though.

Mike, are you telling me that I have to get gauges, chips and fuel mods to keep up?

You're killing me...lol

I'm following this thread and trying to take it all in myself. I'm not sure how I'll sneak gauges into the cab without "the boss" seeing them.
