Personally I would stick with the SeaDoo XPS oil, or maybe Amsoil. I have a 01 RX and a 02 XP and that's all thats ever been in them. I find they run much better and cleaner on the XPS. Have a friend with a 01 xp that uses some off brand from Walmart, he seems to have problems with the rave valve's getting fouled fairly often. Could be a coincidence but my thinking is you get what you pay for. You may want to check out sea-doo.net sometime, people are always asking questions like this over there
Sometimes, I just don't get it. I get this stuff in a small plastic envelope/tube for around a dollar or so. I mix it with a gallon of gas, and it's good to run in any chain saw, lawnmower, outboard, motorcycle, jet ski, snow mobile, leaf blower - any 2 cycle motor. It does not void any manufacturer's warranty. It contains stabilizer. It performs equally well in any weather situation. It does not have to be mixed in a particular ratio for a particular engine. It's great.
But, every time I try to tell someone about it, all I get in response is "well, I always use such an such brand, cause it's what my Daddy always used", and anything I try to say just goes over their heads. Nobody listens.
Personally, I'd much prefer to keep a single can of mixed gas that I could use in any 2 cycle machine I have, and know that they will not only run as good, but run better, even if I let them sit in a cold garage over the winter. But that's just me.
