What year is your truck?
You do mean the 4.9 liter I suppose.
I have an old carb which has a bad throttle shaft if that would help. I an not sure, but I think it is an '84.
You say no kick down. Does that mean for an auto trans?
Anybody know the kickdown mechanism for a 4.9 auto?
I know part of it bolts to the intake manifold and connects the carburetor to the kickdown rod going into the automatic trans. The theaded holes in the intake is where the brackets bolt to. My 84 with a 300 six has a manual trans so I can't explain it with much detail.
