odometer flashes error

I just bought a 92 4x4 fixer-upper off ebay the digital odometer flashes between the mileage 181k to error. All my other trucks are older, mechanical odometer. I was wondering where to start looking to fix this. I did a search of the post but nothing mached it. Also I have a couple curiousity questions for the dealer techs.
1 why does one of the injectors have a spacer attached to it?
2 what is the purpose of the soup bowl on the air cleaner?

The digital dash is to new for me to help you there.

The soup bowl was to reduce intake noise in the cab.

If it flashes Error 3 it has not been programmed right............ email me I sent a PM.

The spacer is on #1 on Fseries injection line for the timing........
