I thought part of being an engineer was thinking things up yourself ?

2 of My Nephews are engineers and that's what they told me.

Invent something to do away with windshield wipers. Cars and trucks would look so much better if they didn't have those ugly things stuck on them. Be aware that the winddshield wiper refill industry will hunt you down and kill you if you are successful.

use your brain, its there so you can be creative on your own. not to be mean or anything, but an engineer who cant innovate on his/her own, is not a good engineer.

A perpetual motion machine would be nice. You could solve the world's energy woes.

not to hi-jack the thread but, isn't it impossible to make free energy? There's a consistant amount of energy on the planet and to get some to go somewhere it has to come from somewhere.

Well, yeah... perpetual motion doesn't mean perpetual energy. That's just a frictionless device, which is possible in a vacuum.
