I'm adding Keyless Entry to my power door locks on my 1992 Ford F250 7.3L DSL. The Installation manual states to find out what type of factory power door lock system is in use. Anyone have a clue....I sure don't. It has different instructions depending on the type you have. 1 example is 3 wire grounded switched signal step door locks. and there are several others.
2W7Z 19A361-AA is the Ford kit to add keyless entry and comes with installation manuel. If you are installing after market kit. You might want to return it and purchase the Ford kit. Just a thought.

Ford uses the locks that are like little motors. Both wires come from the lock motor, and none are grounded. To lock, the + is put on one lock motor lead, and the - on the other. To un-lock, the polarity on the two lock motor wires is reversed.
Discountfordpart will the kit you mentioned work on an 06 f250 with power locks?
I don't have RKE but do have power locks.
I want to add the ford parts to get this feature ....what do i need to do?
Thanks for any info in advance!
