I saw a post in the ordering info over at Dieselstop that the 08's were in the ordering computer. Not alot of info yet but the V10 was still one of the options.
still can't build a 2007 superduty on FORD's site to see if the v10 is available in Pennsylvania.Does anyone know of any other way to find out, other than going to a dealer?,thanks.
mabey there will be a v10 or v12 hurricane for the big trucks and a shorter stroked one for cars. most likley wishful thinking though . do you still have the papers on the hurricane motor captchas?
if the v10 is gone then at least the e450 chassis will be gone b/c their will be no engine for it unless they use the hurricane or 5.4 3v...the diesel surely wont be available for some time unless they make an entirely new one for it (v6)...im going to say it certainly will be available for 07 (not all 50 states)
yes i can, but i doubt that the bean counters at ford can. it wouldn't be that hard to make either, all you would have to do it just take the middle 4 cylinders and graph 4 more of them into the middle of the engine block. isn't that what they did with the v10, just add 2 cylinders in the middle. anyway, can you imagine a twin tubo 9.3l v12 and with a variable valve system coupled to a 6 speed. that would make one hell of a 3/4 lightning . but heres to dreaming again.

I would definitely be disappointed if the V-10 went away. We bought ours for a specific purpose - towing our travel trailer (and in the futue a 5th wheeler) and have been extremely pleased with it so far. Diesels are not for us at this time. If Toyota comes in with a heavy duty 1 ton, Ford better have somthing to counter it. I love Ford trucks, but I would have to look at the Toyota based on the excellent results we've had with our '95 Camry.

i looking for info on the 6.2 no find yet. the sheets i still have down loaded are the 250,350, ranger, and mustang build sheets.
v12's have been around for a long time starting way back with some of the way old cars and newer ones. caddy, lincoln, jag. m.b., bmw. to name a few. they really never sold well .making a v10 cain motor any thing is possible.but at this point with all the laws cali is comeing up with won't be long before they outlaw a bicycle out there.
and inside leak from my bother in law who is a past yp of sales for hino a sub company of toyota a 1 ton from toy is on the way gas and diesel .
Google Jeep Grand Wagoneer. There are still guys restoring the large GW with its three speed auto and 360.
The V10 is a superior product. The best towing option for under $600 in the modern truck world.
If they really stop the V10, do I need to plan to rebuild for the next two or three decades, or do I need to find a good used spare now to stuff in the barn?
i know for a fact that the 8.1 chevy engine is done next year, even in motorhomes. so i wish ford would fess up to something, ANYTHING for crying out loud!
the 8.1 is still going to be a option but only in 10,001+ GVWR applications.
Where did you haer that from? I was told the 8.1L will be available in the 3500 series (maybe the 3500's will all be over 10,000 GVW like the Fords are now). As for motorhomes, the 8.1 will not be in the class C's, but Workhorse will still offer them in the class A chassis.
