Transmission temp.
Does anyone know the normal operating temp. of the 4R100 trany and how long does it take to get up to temp.

Normal temp is 60-100°F above ambient. It can take 20 miles to get to temp.

In the morning going to work it is about 20 miles till up to temp, going home when about 65 degrees or over it takes about 10-15 miles. Mine runs from 130 in winter to 210 towing in the city or slow.
