In 95 I played in trappers tavern in a country band Thompson Manitoba It was the coldest I have ever been. Awesome country though. my question now is do the northern lights really move faster if you whistle at them or did I nearly get frost bite for nothing... I have a bad feeling that some of my northern friends might have been messing with me ..
Hello j&bsuv, nice of you to drop in.
I think your friends were really messing with you as I haven`t heard of whistling at the Northern lites before.
Do you still play in in a country band? Thompson Manitoba would be a very cold place as it`s in the northern part. The rest of the prairies do get quite cold as well but not quite as bad as there. No wonder it was the coldest you have ever been.
Drop in again soon.
Actually now I play in a classic rock band but we do a little country once in a while. Yes Thompson was as about as far as you could go without a dog sled. We hit the ditch in the bus ( Old School bus) and had to spend all the money we made just to get out. other than that it was great !
Oh yeah the northern lights go crazy when you whistle at them! Supposed to be the spirits of old indians long past dancing or something like that, pretty neat!
