Front fenders? They just bolt on....pretty easy stuff. There is one bolt that you will need an extension for that you can see by opening the door, more bolts that connect the fender well, a couple right under the hood, and a couple more on the rad support and thats about it.
i know they just bolt on. im an autobody student so i have worked on stuff like this before. its just that i got all the bolts off that i can find and its not coming off. I got the fender well bolts out, the one under the door, in the door, the 2 under the hood. thats all i could find. Is the inner fender and outer fender skin all one peice??
I'm working on swapping my 84 front clip to an 88 version. I have already removed the inner fender wells, as I would suggest doing that separate from the fenders. Even though those are only bolted to the fenders, it's easier to get to the other bolts. Like posted there are a few bolts/screws on the core support, and about 5 on the cab or rear of the fender. I had no trouble pulling the clip off of the 88, although it seemed to have more bolts/screws on it. If you have some body damage, the fender may need to be pryed out from between the core support and cab if any of the bolt mounts are bent or damaged.
