96-97 Psd

I am not sure of the exact MPG on these trucks, but it should be a little more than a crewcab. (4x4 model)

I would like MPG numbers highway/city unloaded.

Mostly won't be towing.

A regular cab like this is exactly what I'd like, but with a auto (E4OD)

Would it be really cheaper to drive of these instead of my 96 Bronco?

That is a sweet truck, the f-350 has a dana 60 for the front, much better than the f-250. Mileage for these trucks really depends on how you drive them and the gear ratio. I have a f-250 ex-cab 4x4 and if I baby it I will get 19 mpg on the highway, thats with 4.10 gears, and doing 70 with rpms right at 2500 rpms. Diesels are nice for towing, dont count on it being cheaper to drive than your bronco. Maintenance is pretty expensive, ~$60 to have someone service it for you every 3000 miles. One other thing these trucks dont have airbags.

With my 97' F250 I get close to 18 mpg doing about 70 with a ZF 5 and a 4.10 rear. City milage is pretty irregular for me, anywhere from 13-15.

I just bought the exact truck you're looking at with the exception that mine is a manual, and mine has more miles on it. Mine also has 4.10's. I just made it through one tank and it's looking like 17mpg....and that's 75% highway. Keep in mind, diesel is a bit more expensive than regular. That's a nice looking truck!!

That truck should get 13 - 16 MPG city depending on fuel & how you drive it. Winter blend fuel usually gets me about 2 MPG less then Summer blend. On the hiway expect between 14 (winter, lots of warm up time) and 22 summer. I average around 16 to 18 overall. It sure is a LOT better then my buddies Bronko.
